TVB currently houses approximately 67,000 television commercials within its video library, ranging from local/regional ads to national and international campaigns to award-winners, and include some of the most memorable TV spots over the past half-century.
The commercials housed within TVB's library are available to TVB members, to help promote and educate clients, advertisers and even the public on the efficacy of commercial television in Canada.
These commercials are available to TVB's members in a variety of formats, such as DVD, BetaSP, VHS, WMV, MPEG, AVI and Quicktime. Furthermore, TVB can customize specific reels and collections, based on category, advertiser, product, genre or year.
TVB has a dedicated in-house production and edit suite capable of arranging and producing projects large and small, from a compilation reel for a company presentation to the production and post-production of a commercial television spot.
Currently, TVB is in process of advancing the services of its library, by collecting and digitizing all of its commercials. The goal is to provide TVB's members with an online library that will enable the membership instant access, allowing for stations and networks to better showcase the effectiveness of commercial television in the marketplace.
We will keep TVB's members up-to-date with the progress of the digital library; in the interim, TVB is pleased to offer the full services of its video library to its entire membership.

On behalf of it's members, TVB can facilitate access to some automotive running footage for the purpose of creating local station produced commercials. TVB will contact the manufacturers with the details of the request, and if the requested footage is available the manufacturers will send the footage directly to the stations, and provide the invoice. Costs currently vary between $25-$110.
Currently GM footage is available for a select group of models; Ford footage is available on all models; Chrysler footage is not available to stations, Chrysler dealers must request the footage directly from head office.
Footage for most European and Asian manufacturers is available upon request.
Please contact Miguel Potenciano if you wish to request footage, and he will enquire regarding its availability.
