The Christian Channel Becomes Grace TV

On September 16, 2009, The Christian Channel was re-branded to Grace TV.  Grace Television Network is Canada's largest 24/7 provider of Christian programming and reaches more than 30% of Canadian households.  The station's objective is to double its broadcast coverage within Canada in two years. Long term goals include broadcasting Grace TV in international locations including USA, Europe, Africa and Asia.

Nathan Thurberchannel's COO, says: " 'Some TV-stations in Europe, Africa and Asia are already asking when our signal will be available.  It tells us that there are expectations and space for Grace TV to expand. This is a rare opportunity for Canadians to reach other nations through today's technology.' "

The channel is owned by WIM, which ventured into media more than 25 years ago.  On January 26, 2009, S-VOX announced that they had reached an agreement to sell The Christian Channel to WIM. The sale was subject to the CRTC approval.  It was approved by the CRTC on May 4, 2009, and WIM took control of the channel in June 1, 2009.
