Favourite Advertising

In a October 2008 survey regarding the affect of various forms of advertising on consumers, the following was noted:

  • two thirds of Canadians aged 18-49 reported their favourite ad was seen on TV

  • of the 5.4% who reported their favourite ad was seen online, two thirds reported the ad was a video with sound, not unlike traditional TV

  • when it comes to an ad that evoked an emotional response, 87% reported that ad was seen on TV

This latest research clearly highlights television's ability to deliver advertising that is both entertaining and generates an emotional response among consumers.

 

The survey below was conducted by BBM Analytics using their omniVU telephone survey.
