Canwest launched its new home improvement channel DIY Network Canada on Monday, October 19, 2009. The channel will replace the Fine Living Canada specialty TV channel in Canwest's stable of lifestyle specialty channels. It was established by U.S.-based Scripps Networks in 1999. Canwest will also launch a DIY Network Canada website to coincide with the channel's on-air premiere.
