Contests or prizes used for the promotion of goods or services must adhere to Canadian laws. It is important to note that Telecaster does not provide a legal review. Therefore advertisers utilizing these marketing practices should seek legal advice in advance. Telecaster will require a letter from the advertiser or its agent confirming that positive legal advice was obtained for commercials that advertise contests.
To avoid viewer confusion, each product and/or advertiser name must be clearly identified, in audio or video, within a contest commercial.
